Please bring all insurance forms and the signed physician order with you on the day of your exam. Patients must bring most recent films pertaining to exam if they were not done at an Oakwood facility.
 


ABDOMEN
1 Nothing to eat or drink after midnight

PELVIS AND FETUS




HEAD AND NECK

1 Nothing to eat or drink 3 hours prior to exam
2 No preparation for patients with diagnosis of TRAUMA, INJURY, BLEED, TIA, or CVA

CHEST
1 Nothing to eat or drink 3 hours prior to exam

ABDOMEN AND PELVIS
1 Nothing to eat or drink 3 hours prior to exam

ABDOMEN - Patients must arrive at facility 1 hour before appointment time to drink contrast
3
PELVIS - Patients must arrive at facility 1 hour before appointment time to drink contrast

Patients may have oral medications with a small amount of water for all CT examinations.

  • Aneurysm/Central Chip
  • Prosthetic Device
  • Infusion Pump

  • Inferior Vena Cava Filter
  • Cardiac Stents
